Madonna’s most recent stage extravaganza, the “Sticky & Sweet” concert, will be released on March 30th, it was announced today by Live Nation, the world’s largest live music company. “Sticky & Sweet”, which was produced by Live Nation, was the most successful tour by a solo artist in history and was seen by over 3.5 million fans in 32 countries around the world.

The show, which will be distributed by Warner Bros Records, will be available on DVD, Blu-Ray and CD and will include many of the Material Girl’s hits from the course of her unprecedented career including, “4 Minutes,” “Like a Prayer,” “Hung Up” and “Ray of Light”. Filmed in Buenos Aires, over four days to a crowd exceeding 256,000 fans, the concert also includes a show stopping moment when Madonna performs a historic “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” to a thunderous audience response from her Argentine fans.

Also included are several hits from the multi-Grammy winner’s most recent CD “Hard Candy” which debuted at No. 1 in 37 countries. The DVD also includes 30 minutes of exclusive footage filmed behind the scenes during the course of the tour. “Part concert, part block party and all fun, there is still only one Madonna,” raved the Oakland Press in their review of the “Sticky & Sweet” Tour. “A night of triumph and defiance… A two hour multi-media juggernaut,” glowed the LA Times. “Our lady of perpetual motion…This may be the best tour she’s ever stitched together,” claimed the NY Post.

You would think having us wait what seems like an eternity that they would put the new stuff on or something but no they just want to be fucking dicks and make us wait and then give us something that wed been able to see in hd for a while now on the internet. So angry at these people.

  3. Anonymous Said,

Indeed! Surely that's not the cover?! Didn't Guy O recently say they were looking at a way to incorporate the 09 additions? Digital only download perhaps? Anyway, at least it's finally being released and in Blu-ray too! Even though I've already seen it a thousand and one times, I still can't wait. Only 2 months and 18 days to go...

  4. Anonymous Said,

The artwork has actually grown on me...It's defintely a risky choice but this is Madonna! Its actually eye catching which is the point of a cover!

Calm down people...lets not get so jaded and critical till we know what the bonus features are. Im sure the 30 minutes are behind the scenes stuff which I LOVE! And perhaps there will be additional bonus footage which will be the additional songs from 2009...? Who knows.

The bottome line though is it's coming out and even then you people still find a reason to complain.

I really hope she adds her performance of Frozen/I'mNotAlone/OpenYourHeart and all the other songs she didn't perform in the states.... If she doesn't I'm mean it's no biggie but I just love that whole Frozen mix with Calvin Harris I'm Not Alone that she performed.... I forgot what other songs she added besides Frozen that wasn't in the states? Even if she add's them as bonus performances would be good.... Anyone know I work twitter I must Demand Guy to make Madonna add Frozen lol....

  6. Anonymous Said,

My only suggestion if you're going to twiter Madonna's management/Guy Oseary-BE POSITIVE and don't come across as rude or bitter. People respond better when you add a touch of respect to what you're saying.
Guy Oseary does his job as best he can Im sure...and of course we are all entitled to our own different opinions. Just don't be rude when suggesting something.

  7. Unknown Said,

i'm just glad it being released in Blu Ray!

  8. Tim Toronto Said,

Me and my friends saw both S&S and the RIT Tour and we hope that they are releasing RIT on dvd soon.

It's a shame that they couldn't have the 2009 songs in the bonus materials.

I also agree a nicer approach wouldn't hurt but so far it seems that the management doesn't really care what the fans say.

    It's a shame.

i just don't understand why livenation authorised warner for distribution as we all know warner has been ill treated madonna since american life .why madonna and her team don't chose universal or sony bmg instead.at least there two r good at strategy and promotion see how they promote gaga, rihanna,t.swift and eminen
and boyle and they are selling like hotcakes

  11. Anonymous Said,

I HOPE that is the cover of the dvd. It's brilliant.

  12. Unknown Said,

Common that's a fan made damn it!!!
Madonna use to be expensive am o right???

  13. Anonymous Said,

I think LN should partner with someone else. Warner sucks at what they do, that goes without saying.

  14. Anonymous Said,

I'm fine with the DVD/CD and the artwork, but the date is a Wednesday! What country has a Wednesday street date?? Definitely not the US or various other Monday/Friday street dates... So what does that mean for various other countries???

  15. Anonymous Said,

it's not a good thing for madonna that her new releases under live nation will be distributed by warner music again - this leads to the same situation we had under her maverick-times, where warner only distributed - they could lead (like with erotica, bedtime stories) to a lack of promotion and marketing and could affect the sales of new releases!
and i don't think that madonna is in the position to choose the distributor of her new releases, because this is now the business of her label - of live nation. oh dear!

  16. This is the last release which will be distributed by Warner Bros. The next ones will be all distributed by Live Nation.
In this case Live Nation had to make a deal with Warner because they were very upset due to Madonna's decision of leaving them, so they wanted, at least, to distribute this release.
But this is the last one with Warner (Thanks God!).

  17. Anonymous Said,

Let´s start a new chapter - I´m sick of S&S and that Candy-thing ... it didn´t fit and wasn´t really brilliant at all!

  18. Anonymous Said,

Looks really Dark depressing color !! from what the show is .

  19. Anonymous Said,

Those cheek implants are sticking out majorly. Her lips also look swolen. Grow old gracefully!

  20. Anonymous Said,

mmm its not nice give cheap judgment . everyone got the right to be and feel whatever they want .she looks great , just that art work is too depressing

  21. Anonymous Said,

I'm tired as hell of Stale & Bitter: The Hardly Candy tour. Just release the damn dvd so we can move on. It wasn't really that great. Climb off of your Madonna band wagons and look at it with a little objectivity. Confessions was by far the best. I enjoyed the S&S show in 08 in NYC but it was not the tour she should have extended another summer. She was just trying to confirm the results of what would become her new contract. Madonna doing the same thing over and over? Please, it was purely a biz decision. As one other Mo fan aptly blogged: "It was like she farted out a tour" and we happlily lapped it up.

  24. Anonymous Said,

    @madonnArgentina
Live Nation has never founded a real label-business, and they are not willing to start it. they already confirmed that the albums of their new artists will be marketed and distributed under one major label. it seems that in madonna's case it's warner again. and this makes sense, because madonna's whole backcatalogue can stay with warner again........................

i saw the s&s-tour twice, and now i'm wondering how it looks like on a film...

  25. Alex Said,

The cover fits to Madonna very well. It is not standard!
And after reading those comments here I feel like most people are not real fans - no offense here.
I do not think that you have to like everything about her and her music (neither do I).
Especially those who turned into fans during confessions era are now complaining about the fact that HC was just a bad record - case closed!
Just like those who love Ray of Light did before!
Let us be hones: the result of what she does is mostly different compared to what others do.
Even Hard Candy - the album altogether did not sound like a common RNB record at all.

The next record will not be COAD2 or ROL2 or whatever you like. There still will be danceable tracks i guess but who knows.
    That is her secret.
And that is why this cover of S&S looks the way it looks - different!
At least in my opinion ;-)

  26. Anonymous Said,

Just because you are simple fan doent mean that you don't have an opinion . Real fan would say what they really think . That what we learn from Madonna Guy O . Has been doing. But nothing new for Madonna only Pythia name in a mediocre foro album . If Madonna had a sold out tour is just because her loyal fan around the world

  27. daan Said,

I am very curious about this release. I watched the S&S tour on tv but switched it off halfway due to the complete new layer of vocals. Sounded like they dubbed the album tracks over her concert-voice. I am not totally against making her sound a bit better, but I really want to experience her singing live, like she did at the concerts.

Anyone else noticed this in the broadcasts?
