‘Celebration' - Track Listing for CD & DVD Officially Announced

Posted by Sylar On Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Warner Bros. Records has confirmed the final track listing for Madonna’s upcoming “Celebration” CD – The “Ultimate” Compilation - and “Celebration the Video Collection DVD” – both scheduled to be released on September 28/29th. The songs which were selected by Madonna and her fans have all been exquisitely remastered. “Celebration” will be available as a two-CD set as well as a single CD.

The “Celebration Video Collection DVD” will include unedited and never before seen footage of “Justify My Love” along with 27 Madonna videos to be released on a DVD compilation for “the very first time” including “Into The Groove” and “Give It To Me” as well as the just completed video of Madonna’s new single “Celebration.”
Madonna clearly continues to rule the dance floor with her latest single. Her “Celebration” Remix EP is #1 on iTunes Dance Album chart as well as #1 on the Masterbeat overall chart. The song is #*5 on Billboard’s Club Singles Chart and the Greatest Gainer for the second week in a row. If “Celebration” reaches #1 on Billboard’s Club Single Chart, it would be Madonna’s 40th!!!! #1 Club single – the most of any artist in the history of the Billboard Club Singles Chart.
On the international front so far, the “Celebration” single is already #1 in Italy and Holland, #2 in Japan and is Top 5 airplay in every other major market.
Another newly recorded song, “Revolver” featuring Lil Wayne is also included on the “Celebration” CD. Artwork for the packaging of the CD and DVD was designed by renowned street pop artist “Mr. Brainwash.”
Currently on tour in Europe with her sold out “Sticky & Sweet” Tour, the multi-Grammy winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer with the highest grossing tour in history for a Female Artist, is scheduled to end her tour with her final show in Israel on September 2nd.

  1. huno Said,

    I want my D-V-D!

    Left out:

    Everybody
    Gambler
    Love Don't Live Here Anymore
    Bad Girl
    Drowned World
    Nothing Really Matters
    American Pie
    American Life

  2. Anonymous Said,

don't forget FEVER and THIS USED TO BE MY PLAYGROUND.

  3. Anonymous Said,

The DVD collectio sound quite interesting! The CD's not that much, because I already have all those songs...

  4. Antoine Said,

American Pie is #33 on the DVD. To be fair, 'Bad Girl', 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore', 'Drowned World' and 'Nothing Really Matters' were all released on the last DVD compilation "93:99". It's a shame we won't get a proper DVD release of the original 'American Life' video, though. Still, I think the DVD is very generous on material and won't complain. It's definitely worth buying.

As for the CD itself, I think it's good - a nice selection and spread of songs. There will always be the 'should have', '... is missing' but still, at least we're being treated to something new this year. The CD could easily have been 3-CDs: one for each decade, allowing for more songs that didn't make the cut. Considering nothing was done (besides releasing 'Hard Candy') to mark her 20th or 25th anniversary, it's nice that we're getting the CD, the DVD and a few new songs to hold us over until the next release.

  5. Anonymous Said,

The DVD looks nice... but no American Life?! The original version is one of her most controversial videos, and should definately be included! But I'm not complaining too much, the DVD was the one bright spot in the Celebration release considing that the CD offers nothing but two songs. They could have at least thrown some remixes in there.

  6. Anonymous Said,

Someone told me that Madonna has re-recorded a new version of Dress You Up with current vocals and modern beats. Is this true? Did she do this with Oakenfold?

  7. Anonymous Said,

Where is You Must Love Me and Nothing Really Matters?

  8. Anonymous Said,

I like the DVD tracklist, it's a shame that American Life isn't there, i was so anxiously waiting for it :(

  9. huno Said,

Oh, yeah! American Pie is #33.

    Out:

    Everybody
    Gambler
    Love Don't Live Here Anymore
    Oh Father
    Bad Girl
    Fever
    You Must Love Me
    Don't Cry For Me Argentina
    Drowned World
    Nothing Really Matters
    American Life

  10. Jackson 5 Said,

even though it's missing some great videos, I'll be buying this edition when it's released. At least it's got some video's that iTunes has neglected to put up yet.

  11. Dan Said,

    AMAZING!

All the videos i like are on there obviously bar American life but there are many more that make up for it!

  12. Anonymous Said,

    This DVD is almost PERFECT!!!!!
    Paul

  13. Anonymous Said,

i would have been happily content if fever, everybody, drowned world, nothing really matters and american life were there....but i guess since they werent her really big hits its understandable...all the more reason to pull out the old collections every now and then and revisit them....this is a good overall collection....very happy burning up is there...one of her best videos

  14. Anonymous Said,

American Pie but not Everybody, her first video?

  15. Anonymous Said,

Praise Jesus the tracklist on the DVD is on chronological order, no messed up time frame here!

I'm very pumped for the DVD now, tho American Life is still missing I think they did a great job with the selected videos.

I wonder what's the unedited footage in Justify My Love?

  16. Anonymous Said,

Anyone know if the DVD will be available on Blu-Ray? That would just be perfect.

  17. Anonymous Said,

Plenty of omissions in favor of shitty videos like LP, Jump, and Miles away? WTF? American Life should REALLY be there. Plus two of her best videos ever, Oh Father and Bad Girl. Does she have an issue with David Fincher?

  18. Anonymous Said,

Oh Father & Bad Girl can be found on The Video Collection 93:99 so no big deal.

I'm happy to see I Want You & You'll See there, those are great videos, mini movies like in the good old times.

  19. Anonymous Said,

She also forgot the video, Dear Jessie! Spotlight could've been a music video, but instead was a Mitsubishi commercial to promote her WTG Tour in Japan!

  20. Anonymous Said,

pretty cool selection of videos, but yeah i agree with most of you guys that it's too bad american life isn't there...oh well

now all we have to do is see if she'll ever release the virgin, blond ambition, and re-inventions tours on dvd....that would be amazing

  21. Anonymous Said,

Thank God that American Life was not included and i mean the second video. The first one in case you don't remember "never" released...;)

  22. TinkerTenor Said,

    re: DVD

Seems odd to go *almost* all-out and finally release an *almost* definitive DVD of *almost* all her videos. Kind of annoying - but still there are lots of titles on there that haven't had a proper release before so it's going to be nice to have. I guess we'll have to make our own DVDs with American Life on them....;)

  23. Anonymous Said,

True Blue is in, that's Good. Whys this used to be my playground was tottally ignored? American Life video could be problematic. It shoud be offered as a High Quality digital bonus. Too bad Holiday has no video at all. Leave out Of Father and Bad girl, two major masterpieces is odd. Anyways this is the greatest gift of all. They could offer making of's, never seen before photos. Of course I will buy it, several of them to show everyone, that Madonna is still the Queen. So respect! one last thought if Miles Away video was so creepy to release when it came out, why include it now???

  24. Anonymous Said,

you can find the first video version of al online...just do a google search.

  25. Anonymous Said,

No Paradise (not for me) and Bedtime story (from the Reinvention tour) in HQ? awww

  26. Anonymous Said,

It seems like the DVD Release would sell more copies than the 2CD & 1CD Realeases!

  27. Anonymous Said,

Hopefully, another DVD will be released, like a part 2, for all the missing Videos

  28. Anonymous Said,

Where is "Fantasy" and "Honey" in the DVD compilation?

  29. Anonymous Said,

They should have just did a celebrating 30 years of Madonna collection which including a cds package of all her singles including the 2 new ones and a dvd package which included all her videos. Everyone would buy those both. Fucking stupid retards.

  30. Anonymous Said,

where's this used to be my playground?

  31. Anonymous Said,

    Sy, 2 questions:
-which Get together will it be? i hope the second!
-miles away video? idk of such a thing...

and AL is the only real missing song (the others are avialable on previous dvds or were really just live clips). but considering she is including unedited JML footage, it coudl have included AL.

  32. Anonymous Said,

excuse me ... where is the hey you video??? (hehe)

  33. Anonymous Said,

I'm still really offended that GIVE IT 2 ME is neglected on the CD, but MILES AWAY is included. It really, really bothers me.

I was hoping for AMERICAN LIFE for the DVD too - it's one of her best. It would have been a great selling point, especially now. We're (USA) are still at war with Irag... It's still relavent! Maybe more than ever, since we under a new administration!!

  34. Anonymous Said,

WTF NO American Life video??? ok I can understand why they not put it on the cd but c'mon it's one of het best and most provocative video's in 15 years. Maybe we see it as extra on Reinvention Tour DVD ;-)

  35. Anonymous Said,

Miles away is on the dvd list?
Is this the live version or the unreleased video

  36. Anonymous Said,

no Evita videos as well, hope there's a special edition or something to include the other videos

  37. Anonymous Said,

i think the Quality of the dvd is reallll bad all squared pixels and the sound stops at material girl somewhere its really really a disaster!!! i give it a 4+ with points the cover sucks too
