Eagle-eye industry sources are suggesting that the kids from Fox TV’s “Glee” may earn their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart next week with “The Power of Madonna” soundtrack. The companion album from the show’s same-named episode, which aired Apr. 20 to much fanfare, may sell in the range of 100,000 to 125,000 by week’s end on May 1 according to industry prognosticators.

at least when others are singing her songs she can reach again no1 in the us - maybe this should be thought-provoking for madonna and her management. especially as most of the glee-fans will propably never buy a real madonna-release.

Really? Because four days after the episode aired, and Madonna still has 7 songs in the top 200 of the iTunes pop sales chart. She knows what she is doing, and that is making herself relevant again... she's kinda good at that if you haven't been following.

    But for how long?

Think these Glee fans will be buying Madonna's next album...next year?

Does it really matter if she is relevant or not, to fans? I mean really???!!!???
    I couldn't give a damn if a song and/or album of hers was #1 or #200.

It seems this is what all the fans are talking about when it comes to this damn Glee crap. "she's becoming relevant again"????? In my eyes, she is relevant no matter what.

Does it really matter to you if 10 years olds are buying Madonna or not? Is that gonna "justify" yourself as being a fan?

The Power of Madonna, indeed. This is their 1st #1 album and one of Madonna's many. If she gets more fans and if more respect her a little more, then great. I really don't care about a new legion of fans either way, I care more about what kind of work Madonna puts out and I'm looking forward to her next album/tour.
