Has a better named file set including metadata.
Beware that some of these 'demos' include passages from both interviews and the Truth Or Dare movie which makes several demos suspect to say the least.
Madison
These are not the real rain tapes, they are good fan mades created by a member of Madonnafanzine last month. Only 3 are real (bye bye baby, cheat and thief of heart).
Really, these are fakes. Another real Rain Tapes track leaked recently, the Old Music version of Thief Of Hearts.
"Jitterbug" (FAKE - it's a bad remix using Cathy Dennis' "Everybody Move"(Everybody's House Mix).
"You Are The One" (FAKE- It's a bad remix using Cathy Dennis' Just Another Dream (12" mix))
So, with that said... if those 2 are fake, how can i believe the rest is anything other than that?
Thanks

I thought so since it contains interview snippets and other sources that make no sense.
I wish people would stop creating fakes though. Just make a mix, give it our own name, but do not, and I repeat DO NOT fake authentic materirial.
That is not cool.
I actually do think these are real.. by the way Madonna uses sampling on Erotica (Jungle Boogie from Kool and the Gang which is the mostly the beat) and on Bedtime Stories she used a lot of samplings it was pretty big and still is, so Cathy Dennis could be one.. since Shep Pettibone was working with her on remixes also... do your homework on Madonna and Shep Pettibone before ... and you can clearly hear Madonna talking in the tracks on some of those, I'm glad for who ever posted this..
Also the information was also officially shown in a magazine with Shep Pettibone who was interviewed and had pics of the tracks.. so I really do think those are demos, ... Madonna has lots of unreleased songs, sometimes they surface and she even sometimes put them on B-sides.
Thanks to the person who posted this songs, I'm very grateful always love to hear new songs with the different lyrics she used also. that you can't fake either.. lol Listen to all of the tracks you will see the differences in her voice, lyrics and even the way she sings them.
sylar in your mind do you think its real or fake?
It's fake ;)
Rejean - it's no secret these are fakes - the creator is someone called Cicciolona at madonnafanzine. They said their aim was to recreate the experience of listening to the real Rain Tapes, so they used the genuine clips that leaked, incorporated the couple of real full demos that leaked and the rest are totally fake.
It's actually pretty obvious - no matter what you say about sampling, M never sampled herself talking in TV interviews. Ever.
Some of you are jumping the gun. These ARE CERTAINLY the real demos, but they have been tweaked. At some point in the early-mid 1990s these demos were ilegally copied out of the Library of Congress's catalogue. Often when a song is in the early stages of development producers will submit them to the LOC for copyright reasons... this will include an instrumental version of the song, the chorus (or "hook") & a verse so that there is a public record of one's creation & claim to it. As the song develops the "newer" version are submitted as wel in order to have a copyright on teh new elements (the multiple versions of "Thief of Hearts"). ANYONE can go to the LOC and listen to these "Rain Tape" demos ... they are public record, but to actually make copies of the tracks is illegal. The demos were actually submitted by Shep Pettibone on cassette tape, and so they have some other tracks mixed in as well that he was working on at the time (hence the Cathy Dennis inclusion). The problem is that, at some point, someone tweaked some of these demos by adding in passages from interviews, "Truth Or Dare" etc. The so-called "final demo" of "Shame" is a good example - from about 1:00 onward someone else's voice takes over for a moment, & then an extract from one of Madonna's interviews is heard. there is actually a version of the "Shame" demo that I have heard where someone (certainly not Madonna) performs the entire song. Whatever the case, Madonna really needs to release some of her un-released stuff from this period. Fans will go crazy for it!!!!!
It is actually more thrilling if she does not release them, MrLopez. That's something, a sort of "forbidden halo" behind them. She just should release also the true versions, like the true version of "Shame". I like the fake demo, but I'd like to listen the original one. I heard that is just a fragment, though.
Fake Fake Fake!!!!!!
Why are you doing this? Are you not a fan?
HEY ALL, YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE BEFORE SAYING SOMETHING IS REAL OR NOT.
