In the interview, Van den Bosch admitted that Madonna didn’t draw any sketch to design the clothes for the new line. Instead she pointed out the style and direction that she wanted.

Van den Bosch added that when they first met in Chicago, Madonna brought a lot of her own clothes with her including many short jackets, dresses, jersey dresses and vintage items. Madonna likes black color the most, and a lot of her clothes are in black, khaki and grey. She also stated that Madonna wanted classic and feminine clothes for her line, something sexy and elegant in cutting. The two had met about 4-5 times in total.

Speaking of the collaboration with Madonna, Van den Bosch joked that it was of course Madonna who gave orders because she’s a strong woman and nobody could style her! When asked about how limited the 'M by Madonna' line is (in terms of quantity), Van den Bosch refused to give the actual number but just said that they will sell everything out without a piece left.

Van den Bosch also revealed that after the collaboration with Madonna, there will be a new line in this autumn, but she wanted to keep it secret if the new collaboraton will be with another celebrity or international renowned designer.

The H&M CEO Rolf Eriksen also revealed that the company will open other three shops in Hong Kong. Then they will open new shops in Shanghai in April, Athens and Japan in this fall.
