"The Funny Song" aka "Oh Dear Daddy" was created around a song Monte taught Madonna to use as guitar practise in the months leading up to the tour. In typical Madonna fashion her perfectionist streak kicked in so hour after hour, day after day she practised to get her playing proficient enough and confident enough to perform to arenas full of fans for the first time! She got so used to playing the chord sequence that she added some whimsical lyrics over the melody and chose to include it in the cowgirl section of the 2001 Tour as a sly wink to the hours of practise Monte put her through.
