Warner Music Netherlands has just confirmed that there won't be a video for Madonna's latest single, Miles Away, after all.

That is SO weird because Warner told me it was nearly finished and just needed some editing. Maybe they chose not to do it because European and American tours are already over and the tour itself is nearly over as a whole. They were gonna release the video earier as a promo for the show so to speak.

She's done with Hard Candy, basically. It would have been smart to put out a video and then release She's Not Me as a single, but she has to support Miles Away properly first.

GREAT! I really don't like the scenography of the song on the Stivky&Sweet Tour. And anyhow, as reported below, the promo for the album is now complete (even though it clearly seems unfinished and too quick).

All right, is it me or is everybody else frustrated with how Madonna and her camp are handling the releases related to her music?

First of all there is too much time passing from one single release to the other. This is killing the momentum of her album. This album had at least four singles off of it but "Miles Away" seems to be the final single at this point and it's not even being promoted with a video. What's the point of releasing a single if you aren't about to support it. This will have the same fate as "Nothing Fails", an absolutely gorgeous and worthy song that has the potential to be a massive hit but just ends up being released haphazardly and then being forgotten by the public and Madonna herself. Such a shame!

And for God'd sake, when are we going to get a spectacular video from Madonna where we are yet again impressed? Most other artists seem to still be doing interesting video work but the last time I was impressed with a Madonna video, with the possible exception of "Hollywood", was with "What It Feels Like For A Girl". I felt that the videos for "Confessions" and "Hard Candy" lacked a certain "gloss" that we know Madonna is capable of with her music videos.

I know I'm being critical but after being on a journey with Madonna since 1983, I feel that she is capable of so much more than she is showing lately. And it's not that she's not working hard. She absolutely puts the time, money and effort in her music and videos. I just think the creativity is where it's lacking.

I also think she toured too quickly with this album. She needed to rack up a few hit singles with it first by promoting it with interesting videos and appearences and then taken it on tour maybe as the last single was being released. This would have given her more time to breath and make everything the absolute best it could be.

Things seem to be teetering on the verge of mediocrity. When was the last time you associated that with Madonna?
