Madonna was all smiles as she and hubby Guy Ritchie go clubbing to celebrate her 50th birthday - after spending the day praying, The Mirror reports today.

The couple partied the night away with friends at London nightclub Volstead. There was not a hint of their alleged marriage trouble and they looked the perfect couple.

Before donning their glad rags, the couple had spent the day attending long Kabbalah sessions. They went for a two hour meeting on Friday night and yesterday, on the big day itself, the Like A Prayer singer's car was seen back at the centre.

A friend said: "She wanted to mark turning 50 in prayer." It is thought Guy, 39, threw a small party at the couple's London home before they hit the tiles.
