The Chilean Government announced today the authorization so that Madonna can perform in the Estadio Nacional, next December.

As MadonnaTribe reported earlier today the government's spokesman Francisco Vidal was against the performance because "The grass stays and Madonna goes away". But later today he told journalists that a decision was reached after a meeting with the Subsecretary of Sports, Jaime Pizarro and Congress men Álvaro Escobar and Marco Enríquez-Ominami, where it was concluded that the concert was compatible with other events programmed at the stadium.

He went on saying, "Even I am excited to have Madonna here, and if she decides to come, we'll see each other December 10th at the Estadio Nacional.

According to reports, the local production company, is planning Madonna's concert in Santiago, December 10th.
