Hard Candy #3 in the US

Last week's No. 1, Madonna's "Hard Candy," falls to No. 3, shifting 94,000 -- with a not-so-sweet 66% decline. That's the third-largest second-week percentage drop for a No. 1-debuting album this year.

this is actually not all that surprising. There hasn't been much PR stateside for the album, aside from the show in NY. She needs to get going with the new single to keep it alive. The album should hopefully have a long shelf life.

she needs to keep up with the promotions if she wants to stay at the top of the charts...i don't think she cares though

The States sucks big donkey balls, sorry that's the truth, there's no deying there.

Americans love to eat Mimi´s pussy and her shitty ass music, period.

Madonna's gonna sell the 8 million copies outside of that jaded country, just wait and see.

Don't worry, Madonna has already sold more copies of HC than Mariah E=MC2. The numbers are quite close, but M's album is on the charts two weeks less than Mariah's. Madonna has sold 1.384.000 copies, while Mariah 1.319.000.
Mariah is experiencing a huge drop in sales (because mainly US residents are buyig her CD), while M continues staying on the top.

Worldwide charts are the one that matter. Who cares about US. She debuted Hard Candy as #1 in 37 countries all around the world. If that doesn't say something than I don't know what does.
