Madonna has already claimed her new album, Hard Candy, will "kick your ass." Turns out, she wasn't kidding! Witness the cover of her upcoming album, due April 29, featuring the pop diva sporting, yep, a wrestling belt. Featuring production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland and Nate "Danja" Hills and an appearance by Justin Timberlake, Madonna's rep says the album's "about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness."

I think this is the worst cover Madonna has ever used. I am not talking about the photograph, but the lay-out is so dreadful I wouldn't even want a poster of it in my room if I got it for free!

I think this is brilliant! Imagine that on the shelves at the record store. EYE GRABBING, crotch grabbing!!
The background is intricate & abstract - full of colours... blood red & white "cream" twirling into pink (it's a girl colour) and then the font is shadowed by baby blue (boy)!
Then you have Madonna dressed in black wearing her champ belt (with hints of g-old) getting ready to kick some ass. I love that her legs are open - giving us some "Hard Candy".
There is no need to put her name on the cover as people already know who she is... and beside, she wants to show off her new persona M-Dolla!!
The colours all fit well together. It is very candy-wrapper style. The font is surfacing in new print media. It's simple and has a "bang" comicbook play to it.
I love how her face is like her first album cover - sorta showing off short hair or just how it's styled - and that she's touching her face with her fingers placed like that - it is very, very artistic.
It kinda has a 'you gimme fever' style to it as well. I just want to lick it.
