4 Minutes (Peter Rauhofer Saves London Mix)

Thanks to Alan for submitting the video!

According to Madgetribe reader, newtxmgf, this is 'Peter Rauhofer Saves London Mix'. He has also played 'Peter Rauhofer Saves New York Mix' twice.
"London" is more trancy and "New York" was very dubby.
The only Peter's remix that will be commercially released is 'Peter Rauhofer Saves Paris Mix'.

Thanks, newtxmgf, for your report!

I keep wondering why she likes Rauhofer so much? Is he like a personal friend?
Because ALL, yes ALL, of his remixes suck. They add NOTHING new, no buzz, no nothing. Her vocals are always sped up to a point where they sound ridiculously unnatural and the club beats are generic and empty.

She should stop letting him make remixes for her.
Junkie made a great mix if you ask me. Not him.

Peter Rauhofer is my favorite remixer. He is definately an aquired taste. The beauty of a Peter mix is its simplicity. Much like an architect who's designing a building with a "less is more" feeling. When younlisten to one of peter's sets, it does not peak in one song, rather peaks over a period of time throughout the night. And no I don't think Peter and M are personal friends, but Peter offers a remix from a different point of view than the other garbage being put out there. Peter is dark, electronic, and simple. Madonna gives plenty of euro-trash mixes for every song. One hot American remix track per albumn is not too much to ask for.

Also, by the way that's "Peter Saves London" later he played "Peter Saves New York" twice.

"London" is more trancy and "New York" was very dubby. Both mixes are fucking brilliant for Peter's style.

  5. Sylar Said,

That's great to hear! So he didn't play 'Peter Saves Paris' (his only remix of 4 Minutes that will be commercially released)?

  6. newtxmgf Said,

Sylar, your statement is correct. Also If he played Peter Save Paris, I certainly didn't hear it. He did tease the crowd a couple weeks ago with the Peter Saves Paris mix at the "Work" closing party. But from what I understand, it was still a work in progress at that time. Testing a track or testing certain beats and synths on the crowd is something that Peter will do from time to time, much like Stuart Price did when he "tested" tracks from COADF.

Thanks for confirming my assumption. I think that his remixes are awesome, and can't wait to hear all three 4 Minutes remixes (we'll get the other two sooner or later :D).

M has really chosen remixers with quite different styles this time and that makes me even more excited.

I love Peter's mixes. He is by far my favorite DJ/Remixer. I agree w/ newtxmgf.

There is a reason WHY Madonna still chooses Peter Rauhofer to remix her tracks (for the last 10 years already). He is one of the most consistant remixers out there and ALWAYS delivers a great remix for her (he even always does several versions of the same track which shows his talent and versatility). Anyone who says he makes her sound bad or that all his Madonna remixes suck is either extremely ignorant or a major bitter hater.

I also agree with pro-comments. Honestly: I'd love to hear peter making new remixes in club 69-style but it's also so interesting and remarkable how his style changed from club 69 to peter rauhofer in the last few years and you still can say, it's rauhofer and no one else. he's my favourite remixer. no other remixer can do madge better than him. rauhofer4ever - hope he's still gonna please us with his outta-world-reconstructions for many many years ..

  13. Anonymous Said,

by the way: guess I've been influenced by him so much, that the following video always reminds me of his style (well, not too much, only some elements :) hope you like it:
