Madonna Tour Dates and Other Info!

I cannot name the source - I know that this may make the news sound fishy - but this is how it is:

This person, who has been working on each and every M tour since DWT as a member of the cast, has been confirmed that there will be a tour. The contract for the people working on the tour will start from March 1 and run until September 30.

As it is now, she will start from the Wembley Stadium with two dates at the end of May (May 25-26) and then she will perform in Madrid and then Milan (San Siro stadium).

Some of the European cities so far confirmed are: Stockholm, one German city, Paris. There definitely are some more but I just can't remember. It's just that when he mentioned Milan, I completely lost my attention for a good 10 or 15 seconds. So I may have missed something.

She WILL perform in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo and some other Japanese city (Osaka) and then Mexico City, Buenos Aires, probably Rio and Sao Paulo. No Puerto Rico. They are in talks with Istanbul and some other city in Europe or Eastern Europe where she either has never performed or has not performed since the Girlie Show. One city in Israel has also been considered.

As far as the US and Canada, as of now no date in Canada is scheduled. She is scheduled to perform in big stadiums in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Chicago. There may be some other US city to be added but not many more. Maybe just one or two more. It seems like this is going to be different from the most recent tours as far as US dates and cities are concerned.

New York dates will be August 15 and 16. So the big rumour of a New York concert to concide with her 50th birthday was not far from the actual truth even if it won't end up being Central Park.

She will perform in a country where she has never performed but I can't remember what it is.

I know it may sound absurd to be forgetting such crucial details but I have been given so much information and so many city names in so little time that I was just overwhelmed.

I am sure that there was something else but right now I just can't remember.

He didn't mention anything about set lists or anything like that.

I know it is hard to believe. This is the first time ever - in my 25-year history as a fan - that I have been given exclusive news so ahead.

Honestly I have no idea how she will manage to put together rehearsal time and promotion for the new record coming out in March especially since preparation for the tour is scheduled for start on the first day of March, but I am sure that they are working everything out as we speak or maybe they already have. The sure thing is that there is a plan for everything, which is promising and comforting.

I hope this is good news for most of the fans out there. It sure is for me.

If any of the above mentioned cities or dates ends up being changed for whatever reason and/or in favour of other cities, please don't shoot the messenger.

P.S. I am sure that people who normally have access to exclusive information shouldn't have a hard time finding more information about this in the upcoming weeks.

UPDATE: As far as Germany, I can recall now that it could be two cities: Munich and Berlin
