Hair colorist Steven Tapp from L.A.'s Argyle Salon and Spa jetted to NYC, according to a press release, to give Madge "blond highlights" and a "smudge" just in time for her five-song performance at the upcoming Live Earth concert in London July 7.

Steven Tapp is Madonna's hair colourist who also created her blonde locks look for the re-Invention Tour in 2004. "To maintain her new very light, bright blonde locks that I created for the tour, I fly out to see Madonna every few weeks," Tapp once told People.com during that tour. "She's a wonderful person to work with."
