Curry, Daly to host highlights special

NBC Universal has landed the U.S. broadcast rights to Al Gore's Live Earth concerts.
The Peacock will serve up coverage July 7 on a slew of its networks, from the NBC mothership to Universal HD. Bulk of the coverage will run on Bravo, Universal HD and Sundance Channel.
On the broadcast side, Ann Curry and Carson Daly will co-host a three-hour primetime special on NBC featuring highlights from the daylong concerts, as well as some live performances from the U.S. concert. It's slated to run from 8 to 11 p.m.
As for cable coverage:
Sundance Channel (partially owned by NBC) and Universal HD will air the entire 22-hour event from 4 a.m. ET on July 7 until 2 a.m. July 8.
Bravo will air a mix of live and taped coverage for 18 hours, starting at 8 a.m. ET. Cabler's Web site will feature liveblogging of the event.
CNBC will feature seven hours of concert coverage starting at 7 p.m. ET. MSNBC will offer news coverage throughout the day, with live reports from Gotham and London.
Telemundo will air a one-hour spec at 7 p.m. ET, while mun2 will air two hours of coverage beginning at 5. Specials will highlight Latin acts such as Shakira, Enrique Iglesias and Mana.
Artists slated to perform include the Police, Kelly Clarkson, Madonna, Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas and Bon Jovi.
