HILLARY Clinton has received a boost for her bid to become US president - she has been named the most admired powerful woman.
Madonna came second, followed by the Oscar-nominated actress Helen Mirren and former prime minister Lady Thatcher.
The Queen has also made it into the top ten - in fifth place - in the study compiled for Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
The poll put the US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, sixth, with the French Socialist Segolene Royal, who is bidding to become France’s first female president, seventh. Supermodel Kate Moss is eighth, Body Shop founder Anita Roddick ninth, and BBC Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark tenth.
